The following Hymenoptera families and species were observed visiting flowers of Commelina erecta at Archbold Biological Station (Deyrup 2015):
Halictidae: Augochlorella aurata, Augochloropsis metallica, A. sumptuosa, Lasioglossum nymphalis, L. placidensis
Megachilidae: Megachile brevis pseudobrevis
