Habitat
F. ligustrina has been found in mixed woodlands, deciduous forests, along cabbage palm hammocks, on ridges, bluffs, natural levees, ditches, and in rocky, calcareous woodlands. F. ligustrina grows in open, dry to mesic conditions in a variety of soils including sandy loams, loamy sands, and sandy clays.[2]
Associated species of F. ligustrina include Quercus arkansana, Tilia americana, Acer rubrum, Ilex opaca, and Asimina triloba.[2]
