Description
J. marginatus is a perennial graminoid in the Juncaceae family. It is native to North America [1].
Distribution
This species is native to the majority of the U.S. It is most common throughout the southeastern and eastern United States [1].
Ecology
Habitat
This species lives in "wet meadows, bogs, generally throughout in wet, sandy or peaty soil" [2].
Phenology
J. marginatus flowers June through September [2].
