According to Kay Kirkman, a plant ecologist, this species disperses by being consumed by vertebrates (being assumed). [1]

The following Hymenoptera families and species were observed visiting flowers of Vaccinium corymbosum at Archbold Biological Station (Deyrup 2015):
Apidae: Apis mellifera, Bombus impatiens, Habropoda laboriosa
Colletidae: Hylaeus confluens
Halictidae: Augochlorella gratiosa, Augochloropsis anonyma, A. sumptuosa, Lasioglossum placidensis
Leucospididae: Leucospis robertsoni, L. slossonae
Vespidae: Pachodynerus nasidens, Polistes bahamensis, Stenodynerus histrionalis rufustus, S. lineatifrons, Zethus slossonae
